As an avid photographer since 1964, I am focused primarily in
landscape, street and nature photography. My first camera was an
Exakta VX1000 35mm. I photographed with Leica, Nikon, Mamiya Sekor,
Olympus and Sony film and digital cameras. Currently, I use an
Olympus Pen-F and Sony 6700 digital cameras.
Over the years I learned both black and white and color darkroom
processing. I also taught black and white film darkroom at the
college level and on my own. During the past 50 years I taught
photography at both the academic and private institution levels. At
OLLI I taught 6 photography classes since 2021.
With at least one camera in hand, I traveled much of the world.
Forty-three countries and all 50 states to be exact. My passion is
to capture people, their environments, landscapes, and animals as
photographic subjects. My photographs have appeared in Newsweek,
Time, Lake Living, Arizona Highways, and Friends of Lake Keowee
magazines.
I am a member of the Carolina Nature
Photographers Association (CNPA),
The Aperture Foundation, and the
World Photography Association.
