Photo Suggestions

Photograph from the road
The trail to the bottom of the falls is extremely steep.  The rocks are very
slippery and this trail is not for the faint of heart. The trail is lined with poison
ivy and heavily strewn with litter.

Shooting from the road, it is suggestion that you use a telephoto lens

Consider visiting some other falls when you are in the area; Bust Your Butt Falls, Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls.

Driving Tips and Other Information

These falls are approx. 8.8 west of Highlands, NC on US Hwy 64
This is a VERY narrow, curvy stretch of highway.

From Franklin, it's about 8 miles east on US 64 from the intersection of US 441. There is no sign for 250-foot waterfall, so you need to drive slow and look for pull-off.

Coming from Highlands, you will want to stop at the second pull-out
Note: there is only a small pull-off for 2-3 cars. It is best to park driving
            towards Highlands.

Consider visiting some other falls when you are in the area; Bust Your Butt Falls, Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls.

No bathroom facilities available
