TEN COMMANDMENTS OF PHOTOGRAPHY

  1. Thou shalt know thy camera thoroughly, by reading thy instruction manual.

  2. Thou shalt hold thy camera steady, or thy pictures will be blurry.

  3. Thou shalt move in close to thy subject for verily unwanted objects in thy pictures will mess it up.

  4. Thou shalt keep thy pictures as simple as possible for verily more than one subject will be distracting

  5. Thou shalt be sure that thy automatic or manually adjusted camera is adjusted correctly les thy photos will be too light or too dark.

  6. Thou shalt be sure that thy flash pictures are made within the flash-to-subject distance range.

  7. Thou shalt set thy subject slightly off-center, for verily subjects shown dead center tend to appear static and dull.

  8. Thou shalt not take pictures of people posed, lest they will look unnatural and uneasy.

  9. Thou shalt take plenty of pictures, for verily film is far less expensive than the prospect of a messed opportunity.

  10. Thou shalt read one or two general photography books to improve thy pictures taking techniques.
